I will dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
